    Description

    Article no.: TAU-352-10

    Description

Tau aggregates are a defining hallmark of several neurodegenerative disorders collectively termed tauopathies, including Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementia, where intracellular inclusions are associated with progressive neuronal dysfunction and degeneration.

Fetal tau, also known as Tau 352 or 0N3R, is the shortest human isoform of the microtubule-associated protein tau. It comprises 352 amino acids and is generated by alternative splicing of the MAPT gene. This isoform is predominantly expressed during fetal brain development and lacks N-terminal inserts while containing three microtubule-binding repeat domains.
